HEIDI SURI – FOUNDER
I love what I do. And I count my blessings that I can say that about my job! I created T&T in 2011 and in the years that followed I have met so many wonderful families, sitters, and nannies along the way. Almost every family has come to us through a referral, and I think it is pretty special that we can draw a line from one family to another, which in my mind is the ultimate compliment.
I grew up in the midwest with my two older brothers and learned at a young age that hard work, determination, and kindness get you far in life! I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Communications. My recruiting career began in St. Louis at a small executive recruitment agency. A few years later I followed my husband to Oklahoma City where I landed my dream job for a Fortune 100 oil and gas company in their HR – Recruitment department. I learned a great deal from those around me and I gained invaluable experience in the corporate setting.
Now I juggle the daily life of being a mom of three young children and one grown… and running a busy and very rewarding company!
Life is good!
Heidi and I first bonded at kindergarten pick-up over a shared background in recruiting and my desperate need for a reliable sitter! Having grown from that day, my role in Tutus & Trucks gives me the opportunity to be home with my three wily children while also helping take care of other mamas who need a helping hand!
I grew up in Maryland (yep, I still miss the beach) and attained my undergrad at the University of Maryland and my law degree (and husband) at Villanova University outside of Philadelphia. After almost a decade in Attorney Recruiting, I took a leap of faith and decided to stay home with our first baby…and then second…and then third…and then never went back.
When I’m not helping Heidi find amazing sitters and nannies for the wonderful families we have the opportunity to work with, you will either find me making a mess in the kitchen, reading a good book, or attempting to keep up with my far more athletic children and husband in their golf, tennis, and skiing endeavors.
I am the mother of three very fun, active children and Tutus & Trucks very own Gal Friday! Prior to staying at home full-time, managing all the wonderful chaos that motherhood brings, I used my degree from Colorado State University and worked as a behavioral therapist for children with Autism and ADHD. I like to think this experience helped me bring a unique perspective.
And, thanks to the lovely T&T sitters, I ALSO get to enjoy doing things I loved before kids–such as going on date nights with my awesome husband, playing tennis, attending sporting events, and enjoying the Colorado outdoors!
